Investigating the relationship between EFL learners’ engagement and their achievement emotions

چکیده

The examination of emotion and its contribution to L2 learning began four decades ago; however, despite the advancements in this area, there seems be also a need for more research on role milieu education. Accordingly, present study has been intended shed light relationship between Iranian language learners’ engagement their achievement emotions. To end, 403 English as Foreign Language (EFL) learners were recruited, emotions examined by completing associated questionnaires. data analyzed numerical method Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), through Smart PLS MPLS, it was revealed that is considerable association results indicated EFL could significantly predict setting. Moreover, considering various dimensions, found enjoyment positive significant effect students’ engagement. However, some dimensions such anger, anxiety, hopelessness reported insignificant. In nutshell, paper provides implications teachers learners.
